What is the best knife (ie. folding or fixed) for under 30-40 dollars?

 I am looking for an EDC knife resolutely in a style or folding. I like Japanese blades, large blades (over Cold Steel AK-47) and just generally seems edible. It need not be great, just pretty standard quality.
