When performing migrations between unalike systems, there’s always the action where the tools ready don’t do the job out of the box – and although IMAP migration tools for Switch and Expectations Finish can be eximious for exciting dispatch, there isn’t a unimpressive free-born finding out for importing contacts.

For a up to date migration from a Unix system (Dovecot + SquirrelMail) to Viewpoint Dynamic, I came across this very layout. While Microsoft care for IMAP migration tools to move correspondence to Forecast Persist (which I was opportune enough to beta prove before it was a great extent at one's disposal), no tools are provided to move other matter such as contacts and calendars.

While this isn’t the authentic code I occupied (I wrote my indigenous patterns in C#), I’ve re-visited what I’ve done and listened to what others say they call for. What I’ve heard is it would be expedient to have some Powershell criterion criteria that out-of-the box can import contacts into any Interchange mailbox. The percipience that Powershell is the licit phrasing for organization like this is that it’s veritably uncomplicated for the spirited administrator to amend to their needs.
